Two learners that attended the introduction day, had no experience with horses, and even though the activities were quite basic, they could have been really difficult, for some. The first task was to put on a halter. The learner worked very well with Dancer, to put it on. She stayed calm and focused and completed the task which she made look very easy! The second task was to get Dancer to walk between two cones, simple?? The learner completed his task without any verbal or physical communication!
One of the most incredible things I witnessed this day, was a young boy with Aspergers was playing in the snow. Not really aware he was being watched...by our young filly Jade! As he ran around in the snow she ran up and down the fence, trying hard to get his attention! She was so excited to see someone else as lively as she is, she was bouncing off his energy!
Jade was bought as a yearling from the New Forest, kept in a stable with two other ponies and put in a field with 20 other horses and never handled. She had to fight for her food. When we rescued her she was wild and bad tempered, now she is confident, friendly, playful! and loves all the attention she receives.
Her own personal journey will assist others with theirs!

this is lovely :)
This is a really good way to learn something about yourself. I learned how to be patient and that everything will happen if you just wait a while and don't expect everything instantly. This was done with the help of Sally and her horses. A great experience, go on, give it a go.
That was a great day but sooooo cold. it must have been 3 below. The learners were incredible, and the horses were wonderful.
I'll never tire of the amazement in people when they realise that horses can be really co-operative and gentle if they are treated properly.
